About the role
Build thoughtful recruiting and people operations that support a team creating dependable AI software.
The opportunity
Partner with hiring managers to find people who combine technical depth, sound judgment, and collaborative working habits. Make the candidate experience clear and respectful while improving the quality and consistency of hiring decisions.
What you will do
- Translate hiring needs into role profiles, structured interviews, and practical assessment criteria.
- Recruit across engineering, AI and data, product, design, delivery, and commercial roles.
- Coordinate candidate communications, scheduling, interview feedback, and onboarding preparation.
- Maintain accurate applicant records, appropriate access controls, and clear handling of candidate information.
- Use hiring funnel data and feedback to improve sourcing, decision speed, and assessment quality.
- Support office-based hiring and workforce planning for the Burlingame team, including contract engagements.
What you bring
- At least five years of relevant recruiting operations, program management, or people operations experience.
- Experience recruiting technical and product professionals and partnering with hiring managers.
- Ability to assess evidence of hands-on AI and software work rather than relying on terminology alone.
- Strong organization, discretion, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, structured assessments, and consistent candidate processes.
Helpful experience
- Hiring for AI product teams or software used in sensitive operational environments.
- Experience coordinating contract hiring and building repeatable onboarding processes.
Location & working arrangement
This position is based in our Burlingame, California office and requires working in the office five days a week.

AI & ML knowledge
Practical AI and ML literacy sufficient to distinguish applied engineering, data science, research, and ML operations skills and to build relevant assessments with technical interviewers.
Every team member should be able to discuss the capabilities and limitations of AI relevant to their work, verify AI-generated output, protect sensitive information, and keep their knowledge current as the technology evolves.
